Questions

Is my invoice uploaded anywhere?

No. The form, the preview and the PDF are all made in your browser. Your draft is saved only in this browser on this device, so it is there next time you open the page. Clear it with Start new invoice.

Is it free?

Yes. No account, no watermark and no limit on how many invoices you make.

Can I use accents, Vietnamese or Japanese in names and addresses?

Yes. The PDF embeds the IBM Plex Sans font, which covers accented Latin letters, including Vietnamese and German, plus Greek and Cyrillic. If your invoice has Japanese, the page downloads IBM Plex Sans JP the first time, a one-off 4 MB. Characters neither font has, such as Korean or Arabic, show as a question mark, and the page lists them before you send the file.

How are tax and discounts worked out?

Each line's discount comes off its quantity times price, and its tax is charged on what is left. Tax is added up for each rate and rounded once per rate, to the smallest unit of your currency. Shipping is added at the end without tax.

Which currencies does it support?

Over 25, including US dollar, euro, pound, yen, dong and rupee. Amounts are formatted for the number and date format you choose, so a German invoice shows 1.234,56 € and a Japanese one shows ¥1,235.

What should an invoice include?

Your business name and contact details, your customer's name and address, a unique invoice number, the issue date and due date, a description of each item with quantity and price, any tax and its rate, the total due, and how to pay. Some countries also require your tax or VAT number, so check the rules where you are registered.

Can I edit the PDF later?

Change the form and download it again. The draft keeps everything, including your logo, until you start a new invoice.
