Merge PDF files
Combine PDFs into one file in the order you choose. Move, turn or remove single pages first. Your files are merged on this device and never uploaded.
Drop PDF files here
Add two or more PDFs. You can add more later.
How to merge PDF files
- Drop your PDF files on the page, or choose them from your device. You can pick several at once.
- Drag the files into the order you want, or use the arrow buttons.
- To work on single pages, switch to Pages. Drag pages anywhere, turn them, or remove the ones you don't need.
- Press Merge PDF. The combined file downloads to your device.
Merge PDFs without uploading them
Most PDF sites send your files to their server to merge them. This one does the work inside your browser, so contracts, bank statements and ID scans stay on your device. The pages are copied into the new file as they are, so text stays sharp, links between pages keep working, and the file is no bigger than the originals together.
Questions
Are my PDFs uploaded?
No. Your browser reads and merges the files on this device. They are never sent to Nookbyte or anyone else. The only thing the page downloads is code: its PDF reader and writer, when you first use it.
Is it free?
Yes. There is no account, no watermark, and no limit on how many files you merge.
How do I change the order?
Drag the files into the order you want, or use the arrow buttons on each file. To move single pages, switch to Pages: you can drag pages between files, turn them, or remove the ones you don't need.
Will the merged PDF look the same?
Yes. Pages are copied as they are, not turned into pictures, so text stays sharp and searchable, and the file stays about the same size as the originals added together.
Why can't I add a password-protected PDF?
A PDF that needs a password, or one that is locked against changes, can't be merged here. Open it in your PDF app, enter the password, choose Print and save it with "Save as PDF". The new copy has no password, and you can add it here.
Are bookmarks and form fields kept?
Page content, links between pages you keep, and comments come through. Bookmarks are not copied, and fillable form fields become plain text in their current state.
Is there a size limit?
Each file can be up to 500 MB. In practice the limit is your device's memory: hundreds of pages work fine on a computer, and a phone handles smaller jobs.
PDFs are read with pdf.js and written with pdf-lib, both free open-source software.
