Crop shipping labels to 4 × 6

Turn labels that come on a letter or A4 page into 4 × 6 in labels for a thermal printer. The tool finds each label, crops off the receipt and instructions, and turns it to fit. Your labels stay on this device and are never uploaded.

You can also paste a label image with Ctrl+V. Works with PDF labels and PNG or JPG label images. Add several at once.

How to crop a shipping label to 4 × 6

  1. Drop your label PDFs or label images on the page. You can add several files, and files with many pages.
  2. Check each label in the list. The frame shows what will be kept. Drag it or its corners if it needs adjusting.
  3. Download the PDF. Each label is on its own 4 × 6 in page, upright, ready for a thermal printer.

Why crop labels to 4 × 6?

Labels bought online often come as a letter-size or A4 page with the label in one part and a receipt or instructions in the rest. A thermal label printer uses 4 × 6 in labels, so printing the whole page makes the label tiny or cuts it off. Cropping keeps only the label, at a size that fills the 4 × 6 sheet.

Questions

Are my labels uploaded?

No. Your browser reads, crops and saves the labels on this device, and they are never sent to Nookbyte or anyone else. The page downloads the free PDF libraries it needs after you add a file.

Which labels does it work with?

Labels saved as a PDF or an image, where the label sits on a letter-size or A4 page, alone or two to a page. The tool does not rely on any carrier's layout: it looks for the label's border, its barcodes and its size. So you can use it with labels from USPS, UPS or FedEx, or ones bought through Etsy, eBay, Shopify, Pirate Ship and other services. Always check the frame before you print.

Will the barcode stay sharp?

Yes, for PDF labels. The label is copied into the new PDF as it was drawn, not as a picture, so text and barcodes print as sharply as in the original. Labels from image files, and from PDFs that are protected against changes, are saved as images at up to 300 dpi.

How do I print the labels?

Open the downloaded PDF, choose your label printer, set the paper size to 4 × 6 in, and print at 100% or Actual size rather than Fit to page. Each label is on its own page.

What does Letter, 2 per page do?

It puts two labels on each letter-size page, one in each half, at full 4 × 6 in size. Use it for label sheets with two labels per page, or for plain paper that you cut in half.

It picked the wrong part of the page. What do I do?

Drag the frame, or drag its orange corners and edges, until it covers the whole label. Reset brings back what the tool found. If the tool missed a label, choose Add a label and move the new frame over it.

Why is my label turned on its side?

A 4 × 6 label is printed upright, so a label that is wider than it is tall is turned a quarter turn to fit. The tool uses the direction of the text to choose the turn. Use the rotate buttons if you want it the other way.

Is it free?

Yes. There is no account, no watermark and no limit on how many labels you crop.
