How to split a PDF
- Drop your PDF on the page, or choose it from your device.
- Pick how to split it: click the pages you want, type page ranges, split every few pages, or make one file per page.
- Check the page grid. Each page shows which new file it goes into.
- Press the button under the pages. One file downloads as a PDF, and several download together in a zip.
Four ways to split
- Pick pages keeps only the pages you click, in one new PDF. Use it to pull a signed page or a single chapter out of a long file.
- By page ranges makes one PDF per range, such as 1-3, 4-10, 11-. Use it to break a scanned stack into separate documents.
- Every few pages cuts the PDF into equal parts, such as every 2 pages for double-sided forms.
- Every page saves each page as its own PDF.
Questions
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. Your browser splits the PDF on this device, and it is never sent to Nookbyte or anyone else. The only thing the page downloads is code: its PDF reader and writer, when you first use it.
Is it free?
Yes. There is no account, no watermark and no page limit.
How do I take just a few pages out of a PDF?
Choose Pick pages, click the pages you want, and press Extract. They are saved as one new PDF, in page order. Shift-click selects a run of pages at once.
How do I write page ranges?
Separate ranges with commas. 1-3 means pages 1 to 3, 5 means page 5 alone, and 8- means page 8 to the end. Each range becomes its own PDF, or tick "Put all ranges in one PDF" to get a single file.
How do I split a PDF into single pages?
Choose Every page. Each page becomes its own PDF, and they download together in one zip file, numbered in page order.
Does splitting lower the quality?
No. Pages are copied as they are, not turned into pictures, so text stays sharp and searchable.
Can I split a password-protected PDF?
Not here. Open it in your PDF app, enter the password, choose Print and save it with "Save as PDF". The new copy has no password, and you can split it here.
